The Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesman Gao Feng told IRNA that the volume of trade transactions between Tehran and Beijing has had a 10.1 percent growth in the first six months of 2018, reaching $17 billion.
He added that the volume of bilateral trade stood at $37.18 billion in 2017, which indicated a 19 percent increase compared to the previous year.
He noted that Iran exported about 630,000 barrels of oil to China in 2017, adding that the exports have remained the same in the first five months of 2018.
China is the first and biggest client of Iran’s oil and the biggest client of the country’s non-oil exports, he said.
China will continue its trade and economic cooperation with Iran as before, and the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal has no effect on the two countries’ economic relations, he stressed.
